Experience
Louise Gitcheva has experience in litigating complex matters including disputes between Homeowners’ Associations and its members, disputes between members of limited liability companies, litigation between government contractors, breach of contract claims, and land use/property disputes.
Prior to joining Rees Broome, Louise worked as an associate for Harvey & Binnall, PLLC, a boutique litigation firm, where she litigated a diverse array of cases, including non-compete disputes, limited liability dissolution disputes, disputes over executive compensation, breach of contract claims, business tort claims, and defamation claims. Louise also has experience in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, including non-dischargeability claims.
Louise has represented clients in cases where she successfully was able to:

Obtain a judgment on behalf of an executive employee who sued his former employer for unpaid commissions;

Obtain summary judgment on behalf of client in bankruptcy court that allowed him to keep his house; and
-
Obtain the dismissal of the shareholders of a firm from litigation related to payment of legal fees.
Louise is a Northern Virginia native. Prior to attending law school, she worked as an administrative assistant for Golden & Golden, P.C., a bankruptcy and debt collection practice. During law school, Louise clerked for a law firm that handled trust and estate litigation and other fiduciary matters. While at this firm, Louise received hands-on experience in pre-trial motions practice and trials.
